Cherry studied as an undergraduate at The University of Cambridge and has recently graduated with Distinction from her masters at the University of Bath. Her final year thesis paper, a study of primitive place-making strategies, was awarded the RIBA Wessex region Dissertation Prize and was nominated for the RIBA President's Medals Dissertation prize.
Before joining ECA in January 2008 Cherry worked for small practices in London and Cambridge including Sarah Wigglesworth Architects, and gained experience in sustainable residential and school design. On joining the Practice, Cherry became part of the project teams for the Purcell School of Music Masterplan, ECA's own proposed new BREEAM Excellent office and The Weald & Downland Museum's access masterplan. She is currently Project Architect for the extensive remodelling of Forest Gate Community School, part of the London Borough of Newham's Building Schools for the Future (BSF) Programme.
Cherry is a part of the ECA Design management team which designed the distance record breaking 'Cullinan Bird' in the 2008 Redbull Flugtag Challenge.
