Emma McCracken
Emma McCracken
BA(Hons), Dip Arch

Emma graduated in 2003 from the Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow.

Throughout her studies she has been greatly influenced by the unique and innovative style of Japanese contemporary architecture, which led to her spending five months living and working in Tokyo for Edward Suzuki Architects.

Emma joined the practice in March 2005 and has since worked on a variety of projects from the mixed-use Stonebridge Hillside Hub development to the masterplan for the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She has been a full-time member of the project team for the John Hope Gateway at the Royal Botanic Garden of Edinburgh, seeing it through from Stage C to completion. Emma is currently working on Shahat Garden City, a 1500 hectare masterplan for a new zero carbon town in the Green Mountain region of Libya.
