Natalie earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Macalester College (USA) and DIS Copenhagen (Denmark) in Biology and Environmental Studies. She then won a scholarship to study at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London where she was the only student in her design unit (and one of only 8 students in the year) to achieve a High Pass in Technical Studies for RIBA Part 1 for her Re-hydrating Ramblas project in Barcelona. Natalie also participated in the design and build Unit 2 where her research into double-curved laminated timber was used to construct a temporary pavilion in Bedford Square.

Natalie has several years of architecture experience in the education (nursery through to university), residential (domestic and commercial) and transport sectors. She worked on Harrow College at MJP and Heathrow Terminal 2 Concourse B at Grimshaw. She also worked for three years with the Royal Institute of Architects on their talks programme, International Dialogues: Architecture and Climate Change.

Previously at Edward Cullinan Architects Natalie produced Stage 1 information for a large Academy in Birmingham and she has recently re-joined the practice to work on education projects.
