Scott Jenkins joined Edward Cullinan Architects in March 2010. He graduated in 2008 from the Mackintosh School of Architecture. His final year thesis explored the impact of the 2014 Commonwealth Games on Glasgow's East End.
Scott also studied for a year at the Universität der Künste in Berlin, under the tuition of Professor Wiel Arets. The group project focussed on new tower typologies at Berlin's central square Alexanderplatz, as a reaction to the staid office developments which are currently proposed. Scott's high rise crematorium was joined on the skyline by high rise factorys, cathedrals and power plants.
After completing his Diploma, Scott worked in Glasgow with Collective Architecture, a practice specialising in social housing and urban regeneration. He heavily involved in the construction of social housing projects in Anderston and Bellshill, upon which he worked on from their site start until practical completion. He also took an active role in design work and competitions.
Scott is currently working on a residential project as part of our Bristol Harbourside Masterplan, which is due to go on site in late 2010. He has a keen interest in sustainable building techniques and especially enjoys seeing projects take shape on site.
