Tim recently joined the practice having completed his Diploma in Architecture at Westminster University where he received the highest design mark in his year and was nominated for the MAKE sustainability prize. He previously graduated from Newcastle University with First Class Honours and was nominated for the RIBA Bronze Medal. Whilst at Newcastle, Tim won the William Bell Travel Scholarship for Outstanding Design with which he travelled to Eastern Turkey, studying the monumental and vernacular architecture of the Anatolian Steppe.
Before joining ECA, Tim worked for Faulkner Browns Architects in Newcastle in and Wilkinson Eyre Architects. With Wilkinson Eyre he worked on residential and commercial schemes and was a member of the competitions team. Tim devised and built a conceptual model that was used as Chris Wilkinison's inaugural exhibit piece at the Royal Academy.
In 2007, Tim cycled 4000km across northern India and Nepal with a sketchbook in his pannier bags, and later wrote his thesis on the bicycle and the experience of urban space.
In the office, Tim is working on a residential building in the Bristol Harbourside scheme and an sub-zero acetate and nitrate film store for the British Film Institute.
