The two buildings, which are designed with brick and timber elevations to complement the existing Victorian Dock architecture, overlook the waterfront
towards the National Waterways Museum, and have views in the direction of Gloucester Cathedral.
The low energy apartments, which define two sides of the dock, are rated Ecohomes Excellent.
"The Barge Arm scheme is precisely the kind of world class brownfield development we want to see in Gloucester. It provides ground-breaking new buildings that have been planned with a combination of excellent urban design, quality architecture and a commitment to the environment."
Peter Wynn, Gloucester Urban Regeneration Company Consultant
