We worked in collaboration with Aedas AHR to provide a masterplan providing a total of 1.2 million sq ft of mixed use in Birmingham.
The 5 acre site, which is the result of the presence of the former high-level ring road, links and connects the existing edge of the city to the new emerging Eastside.
The scheme occupies two city blocks with offices and a hotel protecting the site from the road to the north-east and residential above retail to the south-west. The public realm, in the centre, steps down the slope, enlivened by a series of interconnected pools of water which flow down away from the city and into the new park and the proposed new library of Birmingham.
