PROJECT: Penarth Heights

LOCATION: Penarth, Vale of Glamorgan

DATE: 2004 - Present

Penarth Heights is identified as a flagship economic regeneration project for the local council.

The project will replace the derelict 1960's 'Billybanks' housing estate to create a new and distinct residential quarter in Penarth, in response to the site's special topography, working with the established urban grain, contours and great views over Cardiff Bay, and integrated into a strong landscape structure. Preliminary consultations with the local community have also contributed to the design development.

Our masterplan consists of mainly houses, interspersed with apartment buildings in key locations. 20% of the dwellings will be Affordable Housing. A detailed planning submission is intended in late 2006.
