PROJECT:Newham BSF- Forest Gate Community School

ECA are part of the Newham Transformation Partnership who were declared preferred bidder for the London Borough of Newham Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme in March 2008. We are currently working on the redevelopment of Forest Gate Community School, which has specialist status in Business and Enterprise and was recently awarded specialist status in Applied Learning.

The main entrance is switched from the north of the site to the south. Here a new entrance building incorporates a new four court sports hall and acts as an extension of the shop frontage of the Town Centre. A new landscaped entrance court, as public realm, will provide a fanastic new face to the school to advertise its services to the local community and beyond and a new Enterprise Cafe and conference suite will strengthen the school's specialist status.

The former Community Learning Centre at the heart of the school will be converted into a fantastic open plan breakout space, creating a stimulating learning and performance zone over two levels.
